Our business hours are 8am–6pm. Working hours for our techs are between 8am - 5pm, however major holidays are not included. Prearranged evening and weekends require extra charges that will billed separately. Our techs are full time contracted and therefore we cannot ask them to stay later than what is reasonable for their own personal evening time. Any late work is dependent on agreement between contractor and management and is not guaranteed.
Yes. Our most common assemblies are from IKEA, but there are many other quality manufacturers out there. Although there are some manufacturers' products may be of such low quality that we will not be responsible for unsatisfactory results. Our techs will determine if your items manufacture are of such a low quality that we are not willing to guarantee our work. This also applies to items that are damaged prior to our arrival. Missing hardware would also apply to that definition. In that case your payment shall be refunded minus a $35 trip charge if it is the only item to be assembled. If you have remaining items they will be assembled normally and with no trip charge applied.
No. Disassembling has been proven to cause breakage in the process.
We accept cash, visa and master charge. Our management staff can adjust your work charges accordingly..
We charge a flat price per item, on larger or multiple item work we can offer cheaper day or 1/2 day rates. We currently have a (4) hour bulk rate of $399 but now on sale. This is a good choice if you have several items or different types of items. Ex: If you have an assortment of furniture and wall hangings to be installed it makes more sense to order this bulk rate. Compare our individual rates against this bulk rate to see if the bulk rate would suit you better. Our minimum trip charge is currently set at $99 which is the same price of an average single item furniture charge.
Our techs bring everything they need to complete your job. Also, in addition to all basic tooling our staff carry step ladders for wall hangings up to 6’ from the floor. Our techs strive to bring typical attachments for wall hangings and TV mounts. For TV mounting work you must provide the mount itself. Or, we sell an excellent fully adjustable mount for $249. plus installation.
No, but we will cut up the packaging into smaller pieces to allow for easier carry, but we always aim to leave jobs tidy and mess free as possible.
If there are pieces missing or damaged we may not be able to complete your assembly. If this is the case you will need to contact the store you purchased it from and we would have to reschedule for a later date after you receive the broken or missing part replacements. If you ultimately reschedule we will waive our canceled trip charge of $35.
Our industry does experience damages. Our company has a very good track record at preventing mistakes or accidents, but we have a policy just in case. When unboxing our techs will photograph any damages so we know it happened before assembly, this is useful in claiming replacements from your source of purchase. We will wait for you to advise us that a replacement has been received and we will reschedule another appointment for an item of equal nature.
In instances where damages are done by our staff the following procedures are in place:
Any damages that are structural or critical to the life of the furniture, we will replace these parts in full. In cases where parts can’t be sourced, we will offer the customer an option.
Any damages or accidents that are cosmetic or light, we will arrange to get these repaired including resin fixes, paints, and or veneers. These damages would typically be scratches, chips, holes or abrasions.
Only with management’s consent we offer this final option: We offer an industry standard limited liability maximum refund of 100% of the assembly cost up to the value of the replacement parts. Once payment for the original work is received in full from the client we will refund this payment usually within 14 days to the customers’ chosen payment method used for the original purchase. Where payment had not been made no compensation shall be offered. In some cases we may ask for proof that our techs caused this as we have to be sure that there weren’t prior damages. Our techs will inspect the area as best as best as possible and advise you of areas where problems exist. Please note that while we compensate based on these figures we do not cover transportation, delivery, handling, packaging or insurance coverage for parts.
We operate on a one man assembly basis so we don’t normally offer the ability to take completed items up or downstairs due to health and safety & insurance requirements. In some cases customers have no choice so with prior arrangement and a fee of $50/hr. for each additional tech to be there to assist the primary tech.
No, as you wouldn’t be trained, insured or have the relevant liability, health and safety knowledge. The only item customers can help us with is lifting a TV on the wall, and this is a no liability procedure if they do so. Televisions greater than 50” may require a second tech. Your price will be the same whether we send another tech as this will already have been included in your original purchase depending upon your original size package you purchased from us.
We have very good knowledge of the construction types of most houses and buildings so we are aware where utilities are typically placed. Our techs use professional scanners to ensure there is nothing behind the drywall where a piece of hardware will be drilled and attached.
We offer a quality service where we can’t envision every eventuality until we arrive on site. Our staff work as quickly as possible, but as a directive from management, they can’t be rushed. We have somewhat accurate ideas of build times but sometimes things like building space or wonky floors could lead to extended build times. This is inevitable in our profession. We suggest booking for days where you are free after the given slot. We offer no discounts if our staff take longer doing a job than planned because you are not paying by the hour on a typical assembly appointment.
